Through donations, compassion, and commitment, we’re proud to be the provider of choice for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Founded in 1973, we now serve 304 residents in 89 customized Rainbow Village houses. Welcome home!
After 13 years of service, a doubling of our property portfolio, and statewide leadership in Missouri’s intellectual/developmental disabilities advocacy community, Michael Rea has announced his intention to retire as Executive Director of Rainbow Village on December 31, 2020.
In a statement, Eileen Cole, President of the Board of Directors said, “the accomplishments listed above cannot adequately describe Mike’s immeasurable impact. The Board of Directors is grateful for his faithful service and that Mike has committed to assisting with our search, the onboarding, and transition.”
Rainbow Village Properties, Inc. has begun the search for the next Executive Director, who will lead the organization in providing safe, affordable, neighborhood housing and property management for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
We are a nonprofit in the St. Louis area here to help answer “what’s next?” for adults with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). In our region alone, hundreds of people with disabilities are waiting to leave institutions, substandard housing, nursing homes, or homes of an aging parents. Your support means they have access to a safe, affordable neighborhood home of their own.
